Strawberry Cream Cheese Hand Pies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box refrigerated pie crusts 2 crusts
  • 1 can 21 oz strawberry pie filling
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for filling
  • 1 drop vanilla extract
  • 1 egg + 1 tsp water egg wash
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar + 1 tsp water for glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl.
  3. Roll out the pie dough and cut into circles or squares.
  4. Place a small amount of cream cheese and strawberry filling onto each piece of dough.
  5. Fold the dough over and seal tightly by crimping the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with a little granulated sugar.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
