Apple Butter Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 deep dish pie crust unbaked
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine the heavy cream, apple butter, sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla, and spices in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the mixture vigorously until it is completely smooth and well-combined.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared deep-dish pie crust.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until the center is just set and a knife comes out clean.
  6. Cover the edges of the crust with foil if they begin to brown too quickly.
  7. Remove from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Refrigerate the pie for at least two hours before slicing.
  9. Serve chilled with a generous topping of whipped cream.
