Air Fryer Yellow Squash

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 medium yellow squash sliced
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Coconut oil spray

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 425°F.
  2. Mix buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Combine flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, and onion powder in a second bowl.
  4. Dip squash rounds in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture to coat.
  5. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray both sides with oil.
  6. Air fry for 6 minutes.
  7. Switch to the "Toast" setting for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with honey mustard.
